This Concerto for Violin and Orchestra was completed in 1937 by British composer
Arnold Bax (1883 - 1953). In contrast to most of his orchestral output, his final concerto is a relatively sunny piece. The lay-out is traditional, in three movements with a Rondo as the third, and there are some Irish influences in the melodies. The average playing time is 33 minutes (
